First Time?
Here's what you can expect when you visit our church:
Destination Church exists for three reasons: to love God, to love people, and to impact our community. That's it! It is that simple. You won't find a myriad of programs or a crowded calendar of activities, you will simply find a group of people who are passionate about God, who are committed to one another and who desire to make a difference in their city for Christ.
Relevant, Biblical Teaching - Preaching should never be boring! As Christ-followers, we have the most exciting message in the world to deliver. At DC, we desire to present the age-old truths of scripture in a culturally relevant, yet biblically-sound manner. Our messages always seek to draw us closer to God, equip us in our spiritual journey, and encourage us to share the love of Christ with people in our lives who don't yet know Him.
Authentic people - Our services aren't filled with perfect people who are "too spiritually minded for their own earthly good." Rather, they are filled with real people, experiencing real problems, who have found strength, comfort and peace through serving a very real God.
A Friendly Atmosphere - Church is not about buildings or denominations - it is about people. We love people and are excited to have the opportunity to meet our neighbors in the community. When you walk in the doors of DC, you will be greeted with a warm smile and a firm hand-shake. Throughout your visit you will encounter authentic people who truly care about you, and who desire to bless and encourage you in your spiritual journey.
Passionate Worship - At DC we believe that worship is about more than music - it is about offering our lives to God in an intimate way. As a result, we have designed our worship services in such a manner that people can experience the power and the presence of God. This is done through song, quiet reflection, vocalized praise, lifted hands, and spontaneous worship (kneeling, crying, praising, and prayer). There is no "right way" to worship, and as such, we encourage people to simply express their love to God in a way that is comfortable and familiar to them.
